Ms. Merlici grasped well the demands of the fast-paced context in which the Information Service works and demonstrated a good understanding of the United Nations communication priorities. Patient and calm by nature, she was able to work both independently and as part of a small social media team and perform multiple tasks in an organized, systematic manner, often under tight deadlines. Ms. Merlici regularly delivered timely and high-quality work, including daily media monitoring of Swiss newspapers, social media reports and overviews, and press briefings and conference summaries.

We all had to work under tremendous time and political pressure to reverse the country's course and put it back on track toward the EU. During this challenging time, I had the privilege to work with young professionals like Alina. She joined my team from the first days and tremendously impacted the positive reforms our Ministry has implemented. Mrs. Merlici handles pressure very well, is a quick learner, and has strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Alina is also diligent, goal-oriented, focused, disciplined, and easy to get along with.
